The Functionality
The CDDS Interceptor seamlessly integrates into existing Command and Control (C2) systems responsible for long-range threat detection. With a human in the loop, interceptors can be launched immediately once a threat is identified.
Guided by imprecise C2 measurements, the interceptor rapidly closes the distance to the target. In the final meters, onboard AI takes over, enabling precise terminal guidance and reliable threat neutralization.
Unlike most defense systems, the CDDS Interceptor can be aborted or change mission mid-flight. If an engagement is canceled, the interceptor autonomously lands in a predefined safe zone, ensuring the safety of personnel and infrastructure. This flexibility allows single interceptors to be reassigned to emerging threats in dynamic environments.
Using state-of-the-art onboard sensing and an advanced tracking algorithm, each CDDS Interceptor can be assigned to a single threat. This enables the system to scale effectively against large drone swarms.
