Our story
The CDDS co-founders experienced the raising threats of unmanned systems for our society. They asked themselves: “How can the fast evolving and low-cost threat be controlled and defended against? The answer: AI pilots in low-cost aircraft. That was the hour when CDDS was born.

Our
research foundation
In 2023, leading labs from ETH and the University of Zurich, two of Europe’s leading universities and global leaders in drone control and vision, demonstrated that autonomous drones can outperform world-class human pilots in champion-level drone racing.
his breakthrough showed for the first time that learning-enabled autonomy, using vision as the sole input, can exceed expert human performance under extreme dynamics in real-world environments. This milestone directly inspired the founding of CDDS.
Behind the AI pilots flying our small, affordable, high-speed drones is a team of robotics and hardware engineers pushing the limits of what is possible every day. What unites us is a shared drive to make the world safer and better than it was the day before.
